Casie has always had a strong affinity for all animals, but she is especially passionate about horses. She has had horses all her life, and currently owns seven quarter horses. She and her husband, along with their two small children, live on an acreage in Porter, Oklahoma. After teaching middle school for the last ten years, Casie is now a stay-at-home mom doing equine acupressure on the side.
Casie is a 2009 graduate of Tallgrass Animal Acupressure Institute. She has also studied equine nutrition and is a graduate of Dr. Kellon's NRC Plus and Nutrition as Therapy. Casie became a NBCAAM certified acupressure practitioner in February of 2010.
Casie is also a freelance and young adult writer, as well as a certified equine acupressure practitioner. She also hosts a blog, The Naturally Healthy Horse. Once an avid barrel racer, she now enjoys giving back to the horses who have given her so much. And, when not writing or shuffling her two children to school or activities, Casie can often be found outdoors, hanging out with her kids and/or animals. She has a fondness for rescue animals and currently has eight cats, two dogs, three horses, and two goats.
